About the role

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Financial Accountant to join our team at DWCorporate Pty Ltd in West Perth, WA. In this contract role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services to support the company's financial operations and compliance requirements.

What you'll be doing

Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Perform account reconciliations, variance analyses and other financial data reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information

Support the quarter-end and year-end close process, including the preparation of trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow statements

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to the broader finance and accounting team as required

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

2+ years' experience in a similar statutory financial accounting role, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment

Strong technical accounting and reporting skills, with a deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant tax regulations

Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information

Proficient in the use of financial reporting and accounting software such as Xero

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
