About the position
Reporting to the Manager People & Culture this position is accountable for leading and managing the People & Culture Operations Team ensuring the provision of a strong and sustainable service.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator People and Culture to provide leadership. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality recruitment, leadership, employee relations, and generalist human resource support. You will contribute to the development and implementation of effective workforce strategies, policies, and procedures to meet the City's corporate business objectives.
About you
- You are adaptable, ready to be challenged within our fast paced environment.
- Be ready to lead a busy, varied team.
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation.
- Proven experience working in a unionised environment.
- Advanced people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of business planning, resource planning, and budget management.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to develop and review policies and procedures.
- Proficient in the use of information systems and technology.
