Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our powder coating operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to production planning, quality control, team management, and continuous improvement.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in workforce planning, process optimization, and ensuring our production line operates smoothly to meet client and project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and control powder coating production processes and workflow.

- Lead and supervise the production team/helper, including sandblaster and powdercoater

- Inspecting items for any defects or imperfections and addressing them before proceeding with coating

- Ensure all jobs are completed on time, to specification, and within budget.

- Monitor and manage quality control standards, ensuring all finished products meet BSP’s high standards and client requirements.

- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring adherence to internal safety policies.

- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime or waste.

- Manage inventory levels of coatings, materials, and supplies required for production.

- Maintaining equipment and ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are followed

- Ensuring proper handling and storage of finished items to prevent damage or contamination.

- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient workflow and safety.

- Liaise with the to coordinate production scheduling and resolve any issues.

- Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Communicating any issues or concerns related to production tasks to the higher ups in a timely manner.

- Troubleshoot operational issues and develop long-term solutions for process or equipment improvements.

- Other duties that maybe required and assigned by the Director, or Office Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven experience in a production management role, preferably within powder coating, metal fabrication, or a related manufacturing industry.

- Strong understanding of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of quality management systems and safety regulations.

- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Proficient in production planning and tools

- Forklift license and/or relevant safety certifications (advantageous).
