About the Role
GSHS is seeking a suitably qualified and skilled Registered Nurse to join the highly regarded District Nursing team. The role of a District Nurse is a complex and challenging role and a great career opportunity. The key objective of this position is to support clients and their carers to remain in the security of their home during periods of illness or disability, by providing skilled nursing care and by educating and encouraging them and their families to retain their independence.
This objective is achieved by adhering to the following core principles:
Maintaining professional care for clients, carers, representatives and their families, aligning with required standards of care.
Respecting client rights in cooperation with the client, carer and their representatives/families.
Providing effective collaboration and communication to client/carer/ their representatives, families and other healthcare workers involved in their care.
Ensuring care is provided in accordance with GSHS policies and procedures.
About You
The successful applicant should possess the following:
AHPRA Registered Nurse
Current Driver's License
Well-developed clinical skills and be able to work flexibly with the existing District Nursing team
Excellent communication, time management, teamwork and IT skills.
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
