About the role

The Library Officer role is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and targeted library and information services to our diverse community. In performing this role, you will also assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide, maintain the reservation service, and assist with children’s and youth programs across Glenroy and Fawkner Libraries.

  • Good teamwork skills

  • Excellence in service provision to all sections of the community
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Good digital literacy skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of Child safety and wellbeing requirements and how this applies in the public library setting.
  • A current Working with Children Check
