About the Role

Capital Cranes A.C.T. Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Hume, ACT. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment.

We are ideally looking for a mechanic with their own tools and experience working on Liebherr Mobile Cranes and Terex Franna Cranes. Possession of a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for dogging, rigging, and/or crane operation, HC Licence would be highly advantageous.

As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other key components

Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and safety inspections

Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used

Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Adhere to workplace safety standards and regulations at all times

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems

Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications required
