About the role

Join the team at Red Dirt Heavy Diesel as a Full-Time Heavy Diesel Mechanic based in Broome, Western Australia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment, playing a vital part in ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair faults in heavy diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components

Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery

Quickly respond to breakdowns and emergencies, getting equipment back up and running

Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work undertaken

Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues

Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members

Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team

A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport
