Join a well-established business in South Sydney as a Commercial Financial Analyst—a role designed for someone who enjoys digging into data, spotting trends, and building models that drive smarter business decisions.

This is a hands-on, insights-focused position where you’ll play a key role in turning numbers into strategy. You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior finance to deliver reporting and analysis that supports commercial performance and business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports with clear performance insights
• Support planning cycles including budgets and forecasts
• Maintain and enhance Excel-based financial models
• Ensure Power BI dashboards are accurate and aligned with reporting logic
• Contribute to group consolidation and month-end reporting
• Respond to ad hoc analysis requests to support decision-making
• Partner with other departments to explain financial outcomes and opportunities
• Help streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency across the team

Profile:

• Strong Excel skills — confident with pivot tables, lookups, and tracing complex formulas
• Analytical mindset — you’re more commercially curious than technically focused
• CA/CPA qualified (or progressing)
• Experience using Power BI (or a willingness to learn)
• Comfortable working with large datasets and making sense of them
• Strong communicator who can translate data into clear business insight
• Self-starter with a willingness to get involved in continuous improvement initiatives
