Your Role

As our Chef, you will:

Plan and design menus that combine creativity with cost-efficiency.

Estimate food and labour costs to ensure smooth and profitable kitchen operations.

Order food supplies and maintain accurate stock levels.
Monitor the quality of dishes during all stages of preparation and presentation.

Work closely with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and wait staff to discuss food preparation and service details.

Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise team members on food preparation procedures.

Prepare and cook food to the highest standards.

Explain and enforce hygiene, food safety, and health regulations.

Select, train, and guide kitchen staff as required.

Manage the freezing, storage, and preservation of food to reduce waste and ensure freshness.

Plan and organise all aspects of food preparation and cooking in our busy kitchen.

What We Are Looking For

Skills & Experience:

At least 1 to 2 years of experience working as a Chef or in a similar role.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Reliable transport or residence within commuting distance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management (or equivalent).
