About the role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking an experienced Beekeeping Teacher to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training in beekeeping to our students at our Fairfield campus. The position offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis.
What you'll be doing
Developing and delivering engaging theoretical and practical lessons on beekeeping
Providing hands-on training and demonstrations in the institute's apiary
Assessing student competency and progress, and providing constructive feedback
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations and best practices
Collaborating with the teaching team to continually improve course content and delivery
Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
What we're looking for
Relevant vocational qualification in beekeeping or a related field
Significant experience working as a beekeeper and/or delivering beekeeping training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
