THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $82.01 - $88.60 p/h + 11.5% super.
Location: Chadstone campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Casual appointment.
Holmesglen invites expressions of interest for passionate educators to teach and assess in the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability) and/or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality education and training, equipping students with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate leisure activities and health programs for ageing clients.
In this role, you will:
- Teach and assess students in the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/and Disability) and/or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Support students from course enquiry through to assessment, using diverse and innovative teaching strategies.
- Develop course materials and collaborate with industry partners to ensure training aligns with industry needs.
- Contribute to course coordination and operational activities to enhance student success.

ABOUT YOU
- Experience in teaching vocational and/or higher education, with expertise in developing and implementing training and assessment strategies to meet both student and course requirements, specifically in Ageing Support, Disability Support and Leisure and Health.
- Recent experience working in aged care, disability support, or community services, preferably in a Leisure & Lifestyle or direct support role within a residential aged care, disability or community setting.
- Current industry knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being delivered in Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with team members, promoting a supportive and inclusive work culture.
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual (Ageing/and Disability), Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, Diploma of Leisure and Health, or an approved equivalent qualification at least to the level being delivered and assessed, or a related field such as Individual Support or Community Services.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 (or an equivalent predecessor or successor qualification).
