Club Kilsyth, located in Bayswater North (Outer Eastern Suburbs) is a leader in Club Industry, with a proud heritage of delivering excellent products and service to our members and guests. The Club has 260 seat a la carte bistro, lounge / cafe, sports bar and function rooms. We are seeking an experienced and motivated chef to lead our fast-paced kitchen brigade as Head Chef in a full time capacity.

The position is suited for a person seeking long-term employment and desires the satisfaction of developing and nurturing a team of passionate individuals. The successful applicant will work closely with our experienced kitchen team in a leadership and mentoring role. In association with our Group General Manager and Venue Manager, the successful applicant will manage the daily services and development of all aspects of the Club's food operations, including bistro, functions and special events.

To be successful in this important role, applicants will need to meet the following criteria:

Minimum of 5 years in a senior kitchen role - Head Chef or Sous Chef

Qualifications in commercial cooking

A motivated and passionate outlook of the Hospitality Industry

Strong leadership, excellent time management and mentoring skills

Experience in menu planning, costing and stock control

Passionate about training and developing team members skills

Experience with building relationships and negotiating with suppliers

The ability to lead by example and put into effect Club policies and procedures

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

The ability to use initiative and multi-task

Qualifications in food safety and WH&S is advantageous

The ability to work independently and co-operatively to achieve common goals
