Are you a strategic retail leader ready to make a meaningful difference? We’re seeking an experienced General Manager to take the reins of a multi-state retail operation spanning the Northern Territory and Queensland. The Role
As General Manager for Retail, you will report directly to the CEO and lead a diverse team spanning operations, merchandising, nutrition, and business support. Your focus will be on expanding market presence, optimising operations, elevating customer experience, and building high-performing teams, while staying agile to industry shifts and community needs.

This is a full-time senior leadership role based in Darwin, with regular travel to regional and remote communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement growth strategies aligned with evolving market and community needs
• Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure service excellence, compliance, and efficiency
• Lead and mentor a broad, senior-level team with a culture of high standards and accountability
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and full P&L responsibilities to maximise performance
• Apply data and insights to guide decisions and identify new commercial opportunities
• Champion customer-first thinking, aligned with regional demographics and community values

About You

• Visionary leader with a commercial mindset and hands-on retail expertise
• Proven experience in senior retail leadership role (supermarket background preferred)
• Strong capability across operations, inventory, merchandising, and team development
• Ability to balance strategic direction with on-the-ground execution
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Financial acumen with a history of driving revenue and operational improvements
• Experience using ERP software, and strong Microsoft Office skills
• High-level critical thinking and the ability to navigate dynamic market conditions
