Finance Manager required for a remote temporary contract with a leading international charity

Your new company

This is a well-regarded and international charitable organisation based in Melbourne, who are looking to recruit a technically strong finance manager on a 3-month contract on a remote basis.

Your new role

This role will see you manage all finances for the business, including the management of one team member and reporting to the CEO. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Execute month-end and year-end processes accurately.
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and oversee the outsourced bookkeeper.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations (income tax, FBT, BAS/GST, PAYG).
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
• Manage cash flow, create forecasts, and maintain banking facilities.
• Provide project financial analysis and implement profitability controls.
• Develop management reports for project financials and staff productivity.
• Maintain relationships with external accountants and bankers.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and ideally a finance management role
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic and commercial acumen.
• Excellent organisational capabilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian accounting standards, financial management, financial controls, and budget oversight.
• Desirable: Familiarity with company secretarial duties, human resources, and risk management practices.
