Welcome to the Big Loaf Factory Bakery where we are truly passionate about food and shaping a world where people eat better.

We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team and showcase their skills in our kitchen.

  • Full Time position offering great flexibility with work/life balance
  • 5.00am - 1.00pm shifts time
  • Weekday and weekend work required

To be our new Chef De Partie you'll have proven experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, great communication and enjoy a collaborative approach. You will also have a passion for utilising the best seasonal produce locally sourced from small farms and producers to deliver nourishing products to our customers.

About the role

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of creative and delicious dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Follow proper food safety standards to maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and efficiently manage stock rotation.
  • Mentorship of junior kitchen staff to maintain a cohesive and productive team dynamic.
  • Assisting the Head Chef with preparation, stock control and health and safety.

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef De Partie in a high-volume commercial kitchen is highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and/or autonomously.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
