About the role

Monaghans (SA) Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Wingfield, South Australia. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles ensuring our operations run smoothly, safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy diesel equipment, including engines, transmissions, differentials and hydraulic systems.

Perform scheduled preventitive maintenance and inspections on vehicles to minimise potential breakdowns.

Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, and carry out related repairs as required.

Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used.

Collaborate with the wider team to identify and implement process improvements.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related field.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, ideally in a similar industrial setting.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Proficient in the use of specialized tools and equipment required for heavy machinery repair.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and provide updates on work progress to Management.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work requirements.
