Saltwater Bay Services are currently seeking Light Vehicle Fitters & Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team on a Full Time basis for immediate start.

2:2 FIFO (from Perth) or DIDO (to Gascoyne region) / 12 Hr shifts

Full Time contract

$55 - $70 per hour + super

Opportunity to work with heavy mining equipment

Tasks & responsibilities

Light Vehicle (Toyota Hilux & Landcruiser, HiAce Buses and Izusu) servicing and repairs

Diagnostics on vehicles & equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems

Parts, oils, consumables stock takes

Inspect, diagnose, service and repair of heavy mobile plant and equipment

Troubleshoot machine and components to determine causes of failures and repair requirements

Following health and safety procedures at all times

Provide on-site leadership to mechanical support staff

Light Vehicle Fitter Qualifications, skills & experience

LV Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in a similar role servicing light vehicles & equipment (essential)

General Heavy Machinery experience with servicing & repairs (preferred)

High level of diagnostic skill in electrical & hydraulic systems (preferred)

Ability to work with minimal supervision and also in a team environment

Effective communication, attention to detail & time management skills

Current Drivers License (essential)

Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol screening (essential)

Obtain a satisfactory current National Police Clearance (essential)

Heavy Diesel Mechanic Qualifications, skills & experience

Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification (Essential)

Previous field HD Mechanical experience ideally within mining, construction or earthworks

Able to train and supervise a team

Current WA Drivers License (HR license preferred)

Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol screening

Obtain a satisfactory current National Police Clearance
