Exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a passionate team in a rapidly growing business on a contract basis (8 months).

CONTRACT POSITION – Maternity Cover

Embark Early Education is an ASX-listed company, expanding its childcare operations within Australia, currently operating 38 services across QLD, VIC, NSW, SA & TAS. We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Support Office in Helensvale. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare month end accounts including profit and loss & balance sheet reconciliations

In depth analysis of historical and budget figures for the group and individual centres

Weekly KPI reporting for 38 centres

Bank Reconciliations

Assist with annual budget preparation

Assist in preparing statutory half-year and year-end financial reports for the ASX

Prepare GST, PAYG and Payroll Tax returns

Provide financial analysis and support for operations

Collaborate with auditors and external accountants during financial audits

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, preferably in the childcare industry

CA/CPA qualified or working towards

Advanced Excel skills

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills
