Position: Maintenance Fitter

The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join a high-performing team in a key operational role. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of plant equipment, responding to breakdowns, and contributing to long-term maintenance strategies. If you’re someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in hands-on technical work—this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep plant machinery running at optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support the implementation of condition monitoring programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with capital project installations and upgrades.
• Use the site’s maintenance management system (CMMS) to log work, manage priorities, and track equipment history.
• Work closely with operations teams to maximise uptime and improve equipment reliability.
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising disruption to production.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Experience in FMCG or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of pneumatic systems.
• A hands-on, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction.
• A team player who values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
