As the Executive Support Officer, you will provide high level and confidential administrative, human resource and project support to the Senior Director.
What you'll do
- Undertake coordination and management of confidential and sensitive activities for the Senior Director, including email management, diary management, travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Assess and prioritise incoming works and general correspondence, including papers and reports, to determine priorities and actions required where necessary.
- Liaise effectively, diplomatically and discreetly with staff from all levels of the organisation, other government, and non-government agencies, community organisations and members of the public.
- Provide assistance with the coordination of correspondence and submissions to ensure compliance with Queensland Health policy, including formatting and submission of responses within mandated timeframes.
- Coordinate meetings, functions and associated agendas for which the Senior Director is responsible. This includes secretariat duties and facility management for meetings with senior internal and external stakeholders.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and provide administrative, human resource and project support functions associated with the operation of the office of a senior or executive officer.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with staff from all levels of Queensland Health, senior government departments, other agencies and with members of the public on a range of sensitive issues.
- Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to accommodate continually shifting priorities in a high-pressure work environment, maximise efficiency and work output.
