As a HR Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the wider business with transactional HR support, enabling the business to manage its people effectively.

You will ensure that HR transactions are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that leaders and employees have the information and support material they need to ensure clarity of process and policy. This includes maintaining people records and resolving data and information queries in a timely and customer centred way.

This role is a great entry point for a HR student or an Administrator, looking to gain operational HR experience in Queensland’s second largest employers.

Please note, this is a full time, permanent position and flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too. This role supports hybrid working, with 3 days in our Brisbane City office, and 2 days working from home.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

Prepare and process HR documentation such as new employee contracts, change requests for current employees, service statements, etc.

Process employee personal data and manage employee data changes as requested.

Manage electronic employee files including; creation, updates, maintenance etc.

Proactively identify improvement and standardisation opportunities in processes and procedures, practices of the team, and work to implement approved changes.

Support HR initiatives by ensuring data and processes are in place to ensure project success.

Work to provide effective and efficient HR services with a strong customer focus.

What makes a difference for us?

Previous experience in a similar HR Administration role, processing HR paperwork such as onboarding, employee variations, etc.

Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide service orientated process advice to employees and leaders

Strong administration skills with high attention to detail

Previous experience maintaining employee records and exposure to HRIS systems.
