An outstanding career opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join the Griffin Coal mobile maintenance team in a senior supervisory capacity.

THE ROLE

The role of the Senior Maintenance Supervisor is to co-ordinate the maintenance and repair operations for site equipment. The position is responsible for providing leadership, direction and co-ordination to Maintenance Supervisors and crew so that priorities are met, quality of work is maintained, and resources are allocated to ensure that statutory and operational plans are achieved and work is completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Your role is to consider not only your shift priorities but the needs of the following shift, the weekly production schedule and scheduled maintenance plans.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

· Relevant trade certificate;

· 5 years’ supervisory experience in heavy industry or mining environments (preferably open cut);

· Demonstrated experience on Shovel/Excavator in planned and breakdown maintenance (essential)

· The ability to handle crucial situations in a calm and effective manner;

· Proven leadership experience and qualities;

· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;

· The ability to promote and encourage high performance and safety in the workplace; and

· The ability to manage multiple projects and respond well to pressure.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
