We’re seeking multiple Senior Systems Administrators with TSPV clearance and a current Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) to join a full-time, permanent workforce supporting secure, high-availability computing environments that underpin critical national operations. These roles are based in Canberra and are part of a long-term program focused on mission-critical infrastructure.

This is not business as usual. This program supports advanced capabilities across multiple secure domains and requires a level of discretion, technical expertise, and resilience matched only by its mission importance.

About the Role:

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing sustainment and optimisation of secure platforms across varied ICT environments - from on-premises classified networks to cloud-based services. You’ll work across enterprise systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and operational security.

Key responsibilities include:

Day-to-day administration of classified networks and virtual environments

Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual infrastructure

Applying patches and system upgrades in line with change control processes

Monitoring system performance and ensuring operational availability

Supporting secure identity platforms, gateways, and infrastructure layers

Participating in after-hours on-call support (on a rostered basis)

Liaising with stakeholders to support system certification and accreditation

You’ll be working in a high-trust environment, alongside other cleared professionals who understand the complexity and gravity of this mission.

Technology Landscape:

You’ll operate across a diverse and technically advanced ICT stack, including:

Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux

VMware and Kubernetes

Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Splunk, Trellix, CyberArk

Oracle, Netscaler, Ivanti, SailPoint, Forescout

Custom-built mission systems and geospatial enterprise tools

Secure gateways, file transfer services, identity and access platforms

Clear, structured documentation and system integrity are core to the role.

Candidate Requirements:

Australian Citizenship is essential

Current TSPV security clearance with active OSA

Demonstrated experience in secure systems administration

Expertise in managing Linux and/or Windows environments, virtualisation, and network infrastructure

Strong written documentation and incident response capability

Willingness to work in secure facilities and provide after-hours support on rotation

Security Clearance and ITAR Requirements:

As a Defence security clearance is required for these roles, applicants must be Australian Citizens. Additionally, all prospective staff must undertake an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) through our clients Customer and maintain a TS-PA / TSPV Australian Government Security Clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
