Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking a EL2 Project Manager join their Integrity Transformation and Fraud Group in either Richmond or Geelong.

• 12-month initial contract plus 12-month extension, excellent rates negotiable which are negotiable
• Hybrid with 3 days per week onsite
• Federal government role - Australian citizenship required

Key duties and responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional technical solution planning and delivery for new capabilities and features, aligning business priorities with architecture, cybersecurity, support readiness, and system dependencies across ITFG and delivery partners.
• Develop the project schedule and maintain the ITFG plan, balancing technical dependencies and business requirements and other priorities.
• Proactively identify technical risks, user pain points, and operational gaps during the design phase to shape scalable, user centric solutions that reduce technical effort, prevent rework, and minimise post go live defects.
• Manage delivery partner(s) for system implementation.
• Act as the technical lead within agile teams, resolving complex cross functional issues working with other internal squads and external agencies, managing scope, and aligning sprint activities to enterprise architecture

and product strategy.

• Represent the project in ITFG ICT Change Management activities and release planning.
• Ensure ITFG technology standards are met, including cyber assessments, penetration testing, go/no-go gates.
• Actively manage delivery of the project using ITFG's standard Project Management tool, including management of plans, risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions.
• Publish Weekly ITFG Status Reports and review with the Integration Director.

To apply for this opportunity, you will need the Selection Criteria below:

• Experience in Project Management in Federal or State Government environments.
• Proven experience of 5-8 years in establishing and managing the delivery of complex technical ICT system delivery projects working across Government agencies.
• Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry recognised qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile.
• Demonstrated experience working on identity focused fraud prevention initiatives, including identity resolution, secure authentication, access management mechanisms or fraud risk detection
• Ability to translate complex identity or fraud-related business needs into project plans, bridging the gap between business and technical teams.

Desirable criteria

• Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge and experience working with NDIA systems on provider and participant facing platforms.
• Background in supporting or delivering government-funded fraud reduction programs.
• Experience working with identity resolution tools and platforms.
