ENMP Project Manager

The Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP) will deliver updates to operational (mission-critical) and corporate networks that will ensure existing systems remain connected to deliver safe, efficient, and effective Air Navigation, aviation Rescue, and Fire Fighting services. It will also enable future enhancements to support future requirements for CMATS, Remote Service Delivery, and the Flexible Use of Airspace.
As ENMP Project Manager, you will report to an ENMP Senior Project Manager and be responsible for leading assigned projects in accordance with the Project Management and Technology Frameworks, delivering the scope of work within its allocated budget and timeframes.
The primary project is to complete the delivery phase of the new network. The role will be responsible for engaging stakeholders in this phase and collaborating with a managed service provider to deliver the business outcomes. The Project Technical Leads and Program subject matter experts will support the Project Manager.
This particular role will initially work on a project delivering network capability for Australia’s new Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS).
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days in the office per week.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of the projects within scope, time and budget constraints
- Work package, dependency and resource planning
- Assigning, monitoring and coordinating technical resources
- Estimating the cost of the project to ensure forecasts are submitted and variances between forecast and actual are reviewed and communicated
- Monitoring progress of project work packages, deliverables and products
- Reporting on the progress of the project, work packages, deliverables and products
- Identifying, monitoring, mitigating and communicating all project risks, issues and dependencies
- Maintaining relationships with key technical and business stakeholders
- Planning with the Master Scheduler and maintaining a project schedule that identifies work effort, roles and resources required, budget estimates, constraints
- Aligning with the EPMO stage gates and organising stage gate reviews when required
- Aligning with the P3M and relevant frameworks
To be successful in this position, it is expected that you will have the following attributes:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in Project Management.
- Previous project management experience in delivering large complex technical and transition projects with managed service providers and/or third party vendors.
- Strong technical understanding of networks and systems of systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage internal and external stakeholders and to escalate issues appropriately.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, liaison and communication skills.
