Our client is a well established and respected privately owned fabrication company with specialist workshops that fabrication of structural steel components for the commercial and industrial construction industry across Australia.

The Role
Working alongside and reporting to management, you will be responsible the preparation of tenders, cost plans and feasibility studies including budgets
ensuring accurate and timely estimates across a broad range of projects including industrial, commercial and mining.

Key Responsibilities
• View tenders information and ensure specification are quoted accurately.
• Liaise with clients/Suppliers in the compiling of Tenders/Quotes/Variations
• Prepare quotes and documentation for submissions
• Timely and accurate costing of submissions
• Ensure completed quotes comply with specifications and design briefs
• Negotiate with 3rd party suppliers and set competitive rates and enhance profitability
• Work closely with team members to ensure quotas and deadlines are achieved
• Client relationship building

Skill and Experience needed:
• At least 5-7 years estimating experience, preferably in structural engineering industry
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to measure and provide quality take offs
• Ability to tender on multiple projects simultaneously
• Good communication skills and problem solving skills
• Self motivated with excellent time management skills
• Team focus and sales orientated
