Chefs – Sous Chef/ Chef de Partie Positions

About us:

Quality Catering and Events is an award-winning catering company based at Adelaide Zoo. Operating for 10+ years, we operate the two cafes located within the Zoo along with the management and catering of events within the Zoo’s various unique venues.

Our two cafes within Adelaide Zoo are Wisteria Café and Fig Tree Café. Open 365 days a year, these cafes cater to the zoo members, guests, staff, and zoo volunteers. Our events span from weddings, conferences, gala dinners, kids’ parties, and public catering. We have 6 unique function venues within Adelaide Zoo, each have additional options to add animal experiences for a memorable experience.

We aim to produce well planned, expertly styled and professionally managed events for a variety of projects and clients through offering a wide range of locally sourced produce and South Australian wines.

About the role:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of functions, events and zoo outlets.

Ensure high food quality and service standards are maintained.

Produce food in line with company standards and follow company procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment

Training and mentoring of junior staff

About you:

Ability to work in a diverse kitchen environment with multiple chefs.

A strong understanding of safe food handling practices.

Strong cooking skills.

Experience working with a dedicated team.

Ability to follow directives from upper management.

An enthusiastic and energetic approach.

We have a full-time role available. You will need the ability to work on weekends, nights and public holidays. This role will report to our Head Chef.
