About the role

FlameSafe Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Fire Pump Technician to join our team in Rydalmere, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fire pump equipment, ensuring our clients' fire protection systems remain in optimal working condition.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on diesel-powered fire pumps and related equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on fire pump systems

Conduct routine inspections, testing, and servicing of fire pump equipment

Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used

Provide technical support and advice to clients on the operation and care of their fire protection systems

Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in diesel mechanics or a related trade

Extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered equipment, preferably in the fire protection or related industries

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and after-hours support
