THEM Earthmoving is a family owned and run civil construction company dedicated to ensuring reliable earthmoving, transport and remote camp operations.

With a diverse fleet of heavy plant, light vehicles, and remote accommodation setups, we’re looking for a proactive, detail focused and organised Parts & Procurement Officer to keep everything running efficiently — from machines in the field to essentials at our remote camps.

The Role:
As our Parts & Procurement Officer, you’ll be the backbone of our maintenance and workshop teams. You’ll manage procurement workflows, supplier relationships, and inventory for our fleet of earthmoving machinery and site equipment. You'll be responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing parts inventory, building strong relationships with suppliers, and supporting the maintenance and workshop teams with efficient logistics and cost-effective procurement.

You’ll take the lead on sourcing and coordinating the supply of parts and materials across five key operational areas:

Earthmoving equipment

Light vehicles

Transport equipment

Workshop and site consumables

Remote camp supplies, including accommodation consumables, fuel, catering, cleaning, and infrastructure materials

You’ll work closely with our mechanics, operators, project leads, and camp staff to ensure everything is where it needs to be — when it needs to be there. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the urgency of keeping machines on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Procure parts, tools, and consumables for:

Heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment

Light vehicles and 4WD fleet

Transport and haulage equipment (e.g. trailers, floats, truck components)

Workshop, site and operational supplies

Remote camp items — fuel, catering supplies, cleaning products, accommodation infrastructure

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure best pricing and lead times

Coordinate parts logistics to various depots, workshops, and remote project sites

Maintain inventory systems, process purchase orders, and monitor delivery schedules

Assist in managing purchasing budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities

Liaise with mechanics, operators, and project managers to ensure the right parts are available on time

Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and stock movements

Conduct regular stocktakes and report on inventory performance

About You:

Experience in parts coordination or procurement, ideally in the earthmoving, construction, or mechanical services sector

Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solution-focused attitude

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing/competing priorities and fast-paced operational needs

Understanding of procurement and logistics challenges for remote sites

Knowledge of both heavy and light vehicle parts is essential

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills

High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and multitask

Experience using inventory or procurement software

Manual C Class license required, Forklift and HR licence are a bonus
