Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Junior Medical Staff to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team (6 months) and rotate through the general roster (6 months). This is a 12-month position.

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
The Role: 2026 Obstetrics & Gynaecology and General Hospital Medical Officer (HMO)
As the leading health service in the Northern Region, we are recruiting driven and motivated Junior Medical Staff to join the team at Northern Health in February 2026.
The role of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology and General HMO is to provide appropriate care to inpatients and public outpatients of the Unit / Department and in addition to provide a consultative service for patients of other Units / Departments. The HMO will directly liaise with the Unit Registrar/s and Consultants.
This role is for 12 months with 6 months General roster and 6 months in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current medical registration with AHPRA
- Must have satisfactorily completed at least one year of postgraduate hospital experience in Australia, New Zealand, or a recognised equivalent.
- Must be a holder of a relevant employment visa if not an Australian resident.
- PGY2 Candidates must be enrolled in the Dip Obs or CWH to be eligible to apply
