Your new company
The Office for Early Childhood Development was established to drive change and create a system that ensures all South Australian children have a strong start in life.

Following the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the Office for Early Childhood Development oversees the early childhood development system in South Australia.

The Office has a crucial role: to unify and connect the early childhood development system across South Australia, aiming to reduce the number of children starting school developmentally vulnerable. A key initiative is the introduction of universal 3-year-old preschool commencing in 2026, providing every child with two years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before school.

Your new role
As an Implementation Officer you will provide expert advice to early childhood education and care services on partnership obligations, including funding, policy conditions, and data requirements. You will translate these into operational plans to support the implementation of the universal 3-year-old preschool programs. Additionally, you will manage and monitor partnership arrangements to ensure compliance and effective reporting of outcomes.

You will collaborate with team members and OECD to support policy development and operational planning. Your role includes preparing documents and reports to guide decision-making processes. You will also facilitate productive partnerships through high standards of customer service and regular meetings with stakeholders. Engaging in communication and stakeholder activities, you will manage expectations and support the implementation of early childhood reforms across the region.
