Full Job Description
Our client is at the cutting edge of the manufacturing process when it comes to next-generation, smart, composite materials. They have researched, developed, and produced one of the lightest, strongest, and most cost-effective composite materials ever created. Our client has two facilities in Canning Vale which are only 5 minutes apart, so they can collaborate, conceive, test and bring ideas into reality faster than any other competitor on the market.

Position Overview

The Production Labourer has responsibility for the manufacture of R&D components out of composite materials

You will be required to

• Hand layup of composite components
• Vacuum infusion of composite components
• Design and test layup schedules
• Design and test processes for creating components
• Liaise with engineering staff and produce parts to drawings
• Movement of heavy components
• Extract forms from new components
• Cut and fit component parts together
• Provide and share expert knowledge to fellow team members
• Mold making
• Welding – Ad hoc
• Cleanup
• Keep oversight of stock levels and liaise with purchasing staff
• Cleaning and preparation of forms for use in layups
• Test components using the UTM
• Reporting of materials used
• Scheduling to complete project components as per project plan
• Input into project plan
• Reporting of daily output and number of components yet to be completed

You must have

• 3 years plus working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Whitecard
• C Class Driver's License
• Clean National Police Clearance
