We’re on the hunt for a detail-driven, tech-savvy Accounts & Bookkeeping professional to take the reins of our financial operations. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you'll play a critical role in keeping our finance engine running smoothly – from day-to-day bookkeeping to supporting month-end reporting, internal payroll, and everything in between.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in precision, and can work autonomously – but still enjoys being part of a collaborative and supportive team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting using Xero
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable
  • Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
  • Preparing weekly cashflow reports and monthly payroll
  • Calculating consultant commissions and reconciling credit card transactions
  • Partnering with our external accountant on quarterly BAS, tax compliance, FBT, and other requirements
  • Cross-training with our payroll specialist to provide backup cover when needed
  • Sharing admin responsibilities to keep things running like clockwork

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-qualified in Accounting (Australian compliant)
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (bonus points if you’ve used integrated systems)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and financial accuracy
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Available during Australian business hours
  • Experience or familiarity with recruitment industry finances is a plus!
