About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team at MJT Partners' in Tamworth, NSW. As a full-time Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the broader accounting function of our growing practice.

What you'll be doing

Performing a range of bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and GST reporting

Preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial records and statements

Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed

Ensuring all bookkeeping processes and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of bookkeeping practices

Communicating financial information to internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally within an accounting practice or small business environment is preferred. However, is not essential.

Strong knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB & Xero.

Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Bookkeeping) or be willing to complete.
