🌟 Bookkeeper / Senior Bookkeeper – Inner Brisbane Accounting Firm 🌟

I'm working closely with a well-established public practice firm based in Inner Brisbane that is actively seeking a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper to join their growing team. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with a diverse portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries, delivering end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll support, as well as hands-on financial reporting and compliance.

Financial Operations & Reporting

Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions

Process batch payments and ensure timely transaction management

Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly reports

Payroll & Compliance

Process payroll across multiple clients, including STP reporting and EOFY finalisation

Lodge BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and WorkCover returns

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative requirements and ATO regulations

Client Interaction & Support

Serve as a key point of contact for your clients, building trust and rapport

Train and support clients in cloud accounting systems (Xero and MYOB)

Assist clients with general bookkeeping queries and troubleshooting

About You
You're a confident, capable Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You’re tech-savvy, accurate, and take pride in making life easier for your clients.

✔️ Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
✔️ Confident using Xero and MYOB (a must)
✔️ Proven experience in payroll processing, AP/AR, and reconciliations
✔️ Strong communication and client management skills
✔️ A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple deadlines
