About the Position
The Fit to Practice Coordinator (Student placements) within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine assists in ensuring staff and students are in compliance with the rules and regulations pertaining to regulatory agencies, student placements and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
The position is responsible for administering, monitoring and reporting fit to practice efforts and is the point of contact for Faculty programs and staff on matters relating to fit to practice. The Fit to Practice Coordinator, in consultation with the Clinical Placements Manager and placement staff is also responsible for implementing the necessary actions to ensure achievement of Faculty objectives, as well as direct compliance issues to appropriate levels of authority for investigation and resolution.

The ideal applicant:
Is in possession of a relevant vocational education qualification or has equivalent experience.
Demonstrates ability to provide a high standard of administrative support including strong organisational competency and high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
High level IT literacy skills, competencies with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with university student systems or similar.
Demonstrates the ability to learn and utilise new systems and software and the ability to train and support other staff in the use of those systems.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing with a high degree of professionalism and sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work flexibly and harmoniously in a team contributing to team outcomes.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently in a high-volume environment, apply continuous improvement principles, and meet deadlines without compromising standards of service and quality.
May have previous administrative experience working in a tertiary/Health Sector environment
May have knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $27,937.27 per annum pro rata (Full-Time equivalent is $69,843.17 per annum) plus 12% superannuation.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
