Job Description

Suited to a candidate that has undertaken a successful Graduate Accounting role, we are looking for a Junior Accountant that wants to launch into a stable, long-term career path in a holistic, premium services firm with a client base consisting of SMEs from small, medium and large family groups. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about innovating, growth and continuous learning with ambition to advance within our firm over the long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing Financial Statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Preparing Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements;
• Produce clear and concise Workpapers;
• Manage and communicate workload with senior team members;
• Build and develop team and client relationships;
• Active participation in ongoing training

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Australian Public Accounting Practice
• Proficient in Xero/Xero Tax/Xero Practice Manager
• Proficient in Office365, particularly MS Excel

Desirable

• Working knowledge of FYI Docs, Active Workpapers, Office365
• Working towards obtaining membership with a Professional Accounting Body
