A major transformation is underway — integrating acquisitions, consolidating finance operations and modernising infrastructure. Their newly established Brisbane-based finance hub will play a central role in scaling the business for the next decade of growth. That’s where you come in — as Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll help build the financial backbone of a business entering the most ambitious phase in its history.

The Role

This is not your typical month-end grind. This isn’t your standard financial reporting role. It’s a chance to help shape how finance is done in a business entering the most transformative phase in its history.

As Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll join a newly established Group Finance team tasked with bringing structure, clarity and rigour to a national business undergoing rapid growth. Reporting to a high-performing Group Financial Controller (ex-Big 4 Director) and working alongside an engaged and commercially-minded CFO known for balancing strategic thinking with executional discipline, you’ll be hands-on across complex accounting, acquisition integration, and system improvement.

Your focus will include:

Delivering accurate and timely consolidated reporting for the Group

Preparing acquisition accounting papers, including purchase price allocations and technical memos

Leading the integration of new businesses into the Group’s systems and processes

Supporting treasury and covenant reporting in coordination with PE and lender stakeholders

Driving system and process improvements across the new cloud based ERP and related platforms

This is a high-impact role where your technical capability and commercial judgement will help set the pace for how finance supports growth.

Skills & Experience

CA or CPA qualified, with 5+ years’ experience in commercial finance or a mix of audit and industry

Strong technical accounting skills — consolidations, acquisition accounting, IFRS

Proven ability to prepare high-quality reporting packs, memos, and financial statements

Exposure to systems like D365 or similar and the aptitude to quickly pick up new platforms, quickly!

Experience supporting business integrations or working in a multi-entity environment

Clear, concise communicator — able to work confidently with both senior leadership and operational teams

A hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset
