This established Aged Care business is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant, as a new role for their small finance team. Working with a well tenured and well-connected team, that have a strong sense of purpose and community - you will support the Financial Controller in all aspects of reporting, month end close, and technical accounting.

The Role

Supporting the financial controller, you will support all the financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting and forecasting activities to enable effective decision making for the business.

• Oversee month end close, including journal entries and accruals
• Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare BAS returns and FBT
• Review AR and AP
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, including variance analysis
• Quarterly and Annual Reporting
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks and partnering across the organisation

Your Profile

You will be a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant with excellent communication skills, and someone who has strong sense of initiative and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills and organisation
• Enjoy working in a well-connected team who support one another
• Ideally have your CA or CPA, or be on your way to completing
• While experience in Aged Care is preferred, other industry backgrounds are welcome to apply
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient with Xero, Power Query and Excel would be beneficial
