MARS Recruitment is partnering with an esteemed Non-Bank Lender who are looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis in their Sydney CBD office. The Responsibilities:

• Preparing and composing statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Directly coordinating the audit process for statutory accounts with the audit team, maintaining a proactive approach to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.
• Engaging in 3-way forecasting, encompassing Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cashflow forecasting. Taking charge of running and adapting the forecasting model for accurate financial projections.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly General Ledger system interfaces, postings, and account reconciliations.
• Spearheading and overseeing the completion of tax returns in collaboration with tax advisors, ensuring comprehensive and effective tax management.
• Preparing monthly financial management reports.
• Managing interfaces between the payroll system, expense management system, and the General Ledger, ensuring seamless processing and resolution of any identified issues.
• Monthly preparation of general ledger account reconciliations, accompanied by supporting working papers.
• Reconciling and posting client revenue and receivables for accurate financial records.

The Requirements:

• CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.
• 3+ years' post qualified experience.
• Previous experience in the Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms.
• Confident in Excel and using large ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• A self-starter with a positive attitude and initiative.
