Murdoch University Guild of Students is currently seeking a Projects & Marketing Manager with strong leadership skills and graphic design creativity who is happy to get hands-on in providing direction and support for the strategic promotion and provision of a vibrant campus experience.
This role requires a high level of responsibility, dedication, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. In addition to the core representation and advocacy services, we organise a range of events and activities throughout the year. In this role you will lead and coordinate the team responsible for end-to-end provision of events on campus to enhance the student experience.

The core responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Identify and engage with potential external partners in-order to source funding to support central Guild activities.
Manage the Projects area in the delivery of on-campus events and student club support.
Manage the delivery of the volunteering ventures program and events.
Manage social media content, delivery and organisational communications.
This position will be offered on a 1yr contract initially with a view to permanent employment for the right candidate.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
Strong experience in team leadership and strategic management, preferably in the not-for-profit and/or community engagement sectors.
Experience in drafting successful grant and funding applications.
Demonstrated experience in meeting quantifiable performance targets.
Experience in the coordination and motivation of professional staff, including the conduct of performance management procedures.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with report drafting and layout design.
Ability to perform effective multitasking and time management while working with a high degree of autonomy.
A willingness to be a hands-on player-manager, both coordinating and participating in the provision of Students Projects services.
Desirable
Graphic design experience and/or skills, utilising Photoshop or similar DTP software
Experience/knowledge of the tertiary education sector.
Full and current WA drivers’ licence.
