Hospitality Group Duty & Venue Manager

Lonnie International Pty Ltd (a subsidiary of “Tao Dumplings”), also known as Tao Dumplings -Mentone shop is a Chinese restaurant, offers high quality delicious Chinese cuisine at very competitive price in Melbourne. Via various shops, “Tao Dumplings” serves its local customers throughout Melbourne's five main living suburbs, include South Yarra, Camberwell, Northcote, Brighton and Mentone. We are renowned for our most authentic home-made dumplings and other top-notch Chinese cuisine, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly service. We pride ourselves on delivering an unparalleled dining experience for traditional Chinese cuisine lovers. Now we are looking for an experienced Hospitality Group Duty & Venue Manager for organizing and overseeing the daily operations of “Tao Dumplings” group. Provide all the customers with high quality dining and catering services, to maintain a good relationship with patrons across all Tao Dumplings group.

Roles and Responsibility:

l Negotiate with the chef in a timely manner about the formulation of the relevant menu and modify the menu content appropriately based on the feedback from customers.

l Evaluating the current processes for all Tao Group functions including enquiries, bookings and follow-up; and in consultation with the General Manager, streamline the procedures.

l Plan and organize catering service bookings for both personal and corporate clients.

l Planning and organizing special activities for clients if needed.

l Be responsible for overseeing general operations of the business in absence of management.

l Make sure that Tao Group’s stock level and financial transactions records are in good keep, purchase or order vegetables, meat, beef, chicken, various ingredients, and other raw materials according to inventory situation and company’ budget.

l Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

l Listen to guests' feedback on the dishes and make reasonable adjustments according to the feedback. Work closely with chefs and waiters to achieve consistency in restaurant’s strategy and timely delivery.

l Manage staff and provide training when necessary.

l Lead and manage the whole staff in relation to customers catering service booking and arranging.

l Formulate the whole group promotion and advertising strategy, implement the policy or strategy into each stage and period.

l Maintain the relationship with customers and suppliers, to achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase.

l Responsible for the supervision and management of the whole process of customer dining service. Including booking, reception, problem solving during the meal, customer feedback after the meal and so on.

l Be familiar and sensitive to the market development trend and customers’ preference.

l Maintain a good and solid relationship with the old customers and promote the reputation of our restaurant to attract more customers.

l Manage and supervise the reception to be standardized, polite and orderly. In the peak period of dining, it is necessary to reasonably arrange the timely distribution of online customer orders and the timely supply of offline customers to the store.

l Address customer complaints and queries promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

l Above Diploma qualification in relation to media or Hospitality Management is a must;

l Minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience in Chinese restaurant with large scale or group company;

l Minimum of two years of experience in a management role

l Fluent in oral English, Malay and Mandarin, be able to work in English and Chinese fast-paced working environment;

l Hands-on experience in customer service or sales;

l Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices;

l Excellent organizational and leadership skills;

l Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;

l Knowledge of Melbourne and surroundings;

l Proven experience managing event booking software and responding to inquiries within set timelines.
