Our Client has a portfolio of well-known brands in the beauty & personal care industry; they’ve been in business for 30+ years, are on solid financial footing, & have delivered year-on-year, double-digit growth. (That’s an impressive track record!)

About the Role:

This is a highly commercial position; you’ll be driving top- and bottom-line growth in your channels of trade via existing retail partnerships and new opportunities.

Reporting into the Head of Sales & Marketing, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Growing the business in Key Accounts (Coles, Costco, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, Aldi, Costco, K-Mart, Target) on a strategic & commercial level
  • Developing & delivering a customer strategy to ensure these accounts are aligned with the broader company strategy
  • Presenting your strategy at retailer reviews
  • Delivering on agreed sales volumes, profit, & market share targets
  • As the business grows into new sectors & categories, you’ll also be managing the launch of new lines & leading the charge for growth in existing & new categories

Key activities include:

  • Manage day-to-day account activity across your designated accounts
  • Build relationships at all levels within your accounts to unlock current & future business opportunities
  • Develop account goals & business plans (JBPs) with customers
  • Forecast, budget & track account revenues & cost (P&L)
  • Conduct regular review of business performance, promotion strategies & planograms, presenting to both internal (Head of Sales & Marketing) & external (customer) stakeholders.
  • Manage Trade Spend to support sustainable business growth
  • Review & analysis of data to review customer & category performance in market

Please note: this is an in-office role with occasional interstate travel required.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • MUST have: Strong understanding of the Grocery channel and experience managing major gGocery clients such as Coles, Woolworths and/or Aldi at head office level
  • Experience with health, beauty and/or personal care products highly desirable
  • Analytical and data driven
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and sales skills
  • Strong analytical and financial capability within forecasting, promotional planning, & budget management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ideally working knowledge of IRI or Nielsen data
  • Team player and positive “can do” attitude
