About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales & Marketing Manager to join our growing private label and branded food business. Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Innovation, you will manage the current range of products across the accounts, driving the growth of both private label and branded product lines via core and NPD, and assist in building continued strong relationships with customers. You will take on Sales Account Management related tasks associated with both products manufactured onsite in our factory and in our local co-manufacturers and have direct contact with both customers and suppliers, so strong communication skills are essential.

You will identify key opportunities to grow sales and profitability, along with executing the strategies to achieve the set budgets. The role will involve management of our growing National Accounts including Coles, WW, and ALDI, and work with other discounter customers to broaden the range & distribution of the branded offers. The primary focus is delivering plans to drive our brand presence (distribution, availability, POB) and sales in each segment within the different customers.

This position offers a great opportunity to further build your career in the food industry in a broad FMCG commercial role with exposure to the full end-to-end food business model while learning from a talented, dynamic team. You will work closely with the retailer category heads, the demand and supply planners and the commercialisation/R&D team on range management and NPD delivery.

More specifically, you will:

Develop and review sales business plans within our customers based on consumer, customer, competitive and market insight and analytics

Assist in developing both branded and private label new business in line with the strategic growth ambition

Manage monthly sales forecasting and demand planning, incl. customer orders and delivery and new contracts

Manage trade investment and promotional spend accruals and execute promotional programs to maximise ROI within agreed pricing strategies

Report on customer sales results and product performance margins, and identify opportunities for further growth (including PPA)

Assist in building customer range review presentations and submissions for current and new national accounts

Manage sales admin of new line launches, including customer portals, GS1, planograms etc

Assist in the delivery of new NPD projects, ensuring timely delivery within cost parameters and development of customer P&Ls, including execution in store (shelf presence, POB etc)

Work with customers to resolve any issues or concerns with product orders. Manage OTIF delivery, striving for excellent customer service

Work with key accounts to build and maximise E-Comm opportunities

Work with the team to help build marketing plans and execution in and out of store for the branded ranges

Key Performance Indicators:

Meet monthly sales targets

Meet quarterly forecast accuracy and supply targets

Meet customer requests and supply measures on time in full

You will have:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related Commercial field.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in field sales, brand marketing, customer service, or account management (preferably in the food industry or FMCG)

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail

Action-oriented self-starter, reliable and motivated with a “can-do”, hands-on attitude

Strong organisational, negotiation & presentation skills, and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload to meet deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, including system and data admin for new product lines.

Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively within a commercial and innovation team to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally

Good knowledge of sales principles and customer relationship management, including building retailer P&L’s and range review documents

Commercially minded and customer-focused with strong financial acumen

Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new internal & customer systems quickly

Working Conditions:

Full-time hybrid position

Occasional travel required to meet with customers, attend trade shows, retailer store visits.

Competitive salary and benefits package: $130-$150k per annum
