We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to work on a full-time basis in our Melbourne CBD office across a range of digital projects.

About Newpath

Outstanding Melbourne CBD Office

Leading Australian owned Digital Agency

Work alongside some of the most talented digital natives in Australia

Exciting client and project list

We are a full-service digital agency with our head office in Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD, with offices also in Sydney, Brisbane, India and the UK. We are one of the largest independently owned agencies in the country, working with exciting brands such as TPG Telecom, Bluescope Steel, Hotondo Homes, the Vic Gov and many others.

Our clients range from highly innovative, fast-growth start-ups to established well known businesses going through transformative periods of expansion, and enterprise-scale industry leaders.

Our team offers a breadth of creative, technical and delivery expertise, with backgrounds across agency, consultancy, client side, and research, meaning we bring a balance of innovation with practicality, and thought leadership with execution discipline.

We understand what success looks like for our clients, and have a reputation for strong delivery.

Job Description:

As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way users interact with our client’s products. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance user satisfaction. We're seeking an experienced designer who can lead projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs and business objectives.

Drive information architecture and flow of information within our products.

Utilise your strong storytelling skills to effectively communicate design concepts to interdisciplinary teams.

Conduct research to establish a solid contextual analysis, define solution requirements, and inform design decisions.

Proven abilities in prototyping, visual design, and user flows.

Create clean, beautiful, and intuitive interfaces over responsive digital platforms, with occasional design support for our marketing team as needed.

Collaborate in dynamic, interdisciplinary, and agile environments to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.

Act as a problem solver who continuously seeks improvement in our design processes.

Welcomes collaboration and works with clients to incorporate feedback to refine design solutions.

Proven proficiency in wireframing, sketching, journey mapping, and task flows.

Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and accessible design solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Proven experience as a UX/UI designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Strong knowledge of industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

A keen eye for detail, and a flair for design

Nice to have (but not essential)

While this is a UX/UI focussed role, if you have experience in any of the following we’d love to hear about it:

Experience leading client design workshops

Experience in broader graphic design application (eg. display ads, print design, etc)

Motion design/animation design

Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS Platforms)
