BWC is a privately owned company specialising in quarrying, earthmoving and transport for the civil construction industry in Queensland since 1984.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Quarry Supervisor with exceptional leadership skills to join our team on a full-time basis.

Overseeing a large dual quarrying and earthworks project at Keperra in Brisbane, the successful candidate will be required to assist in the coordination of personnel and plant activities on site, including supervising all crushing and screening activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of safety and quality and driving a positive safety culture on site. Experience in both bulk earthworks and quarrying or mining preferred.

Duties:

Responsibilities will include:

Planning, coordinating and leading personnel and plant activities;

Scheduling of site works according to the project program, including crushing and screening activities;

Supervising the day-to-day operations of the project;

Ensuring safety, environmental and compliance requirements are met;

Provide leadership, management and support to the various personnel, equipment and stakeholders' onsite;

Provide project delivery and reporting support to the Project Management and Engineering team;

Ensure the quality of work in line with drawings and specifications.

Skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

3+ years experience in a Supervisor role for Quarrying/Earthworks projects;

3+ years experience with crushing and screening;

Exceptional leadership and people management skills;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to plan, multitask and work to deadlines;

Ability to resolve site issues effectively;

Commitment to work, health and safety;

High level of attention to detail;

Familiarity with mining projects, mine site regulations and requirements an advantage but not essential.
