As our new Aged & Community Care Coordinator, you’ll be the strategic lead behind programs that empower older people and people living with disability. What You’ll Do
Oversee delivery of high-quality aged and disability services, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction
Lead strategic planning for programs that respond to emerging community needs
Represent the voices of older residents and people with disability in Council decision-making
Monitor budgets, prepare reports, and make meaningful presentations to leadership and Council
Develop staff performance plans and grow a positive, capable and collaborative team
Ensure operations are efficient, innovative, and aligned with a triple bottom line approach
Drive continuous improvement across policies, service delivery and strategic planning
What You’ll Bring
A tertiary qualification in Human Services (or relevant field)
5+ years’ experience in leading programs in aged care, disability or related human services
Strong leadership and people management skills across diverse service areas
Deep understanding of business systems, funding requirements and community-centred care
Proven ability to lead change and deliver outcomes in a dynamic policy environment
Excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills — you build trust and get results
A current driver’s licence

The Rural City of Wangaratta was formed from the merger of the City of Wangaratta, the Shires of Oxley and Wangaratta and parts of the Shires of Beechworth, Benalla and Yarrawonga. Originally known as the Shire of Milawa when the municipality was created on 18 November 1994 it was renamed the Rural City of Wangaratta on 29 June 1995.
