The hotel features 408 rooms, along with a variety of dining options including: Blvd Café and Bar, The Restaurant, Pool Bar, as well as in-room dining. We offer a welcoming, family friendly and relaxed atmosphere, providing genuine hospitality for our guests. For our guests wanting to unwind we offer a heated outdoor swimming pool & spa, tennis courts and gym. For our conferencing & events guests we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.

About the job…

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to work with our experienced Sales & Marketing team. This is a hands on role, you have an entrepreneurial approach.

Reporting to the General Manager

As a Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the General Manager and Leadership Team to develop and drive successful commercial initiatives and Loyalty campaigns to successful achieve Hotel goals and KPI’s.
  • Driving and managing revenue initiatives across all market segments, ensuring high conversion rates.
  • Inspiring and empowering our teams to create epic guest experiences.
  • Proactively leading Loyalty recruitment throughout the Hotel
  • Setting and reviewing sales strategies for new and ongoing business development to meet and exceed budget
  • Leading the Hotel’s sales team, including conferencing and events.
  • Providing day to day leadership to sales team and continuing to building & maintaining strategic relationships in the market for Accor and existing partners.
  • Developing new business.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Management to proactively promote outlets, drive revenue and social media presence.
  • Working with all departments to ensuring marketing is inspirational and timely to promote the Hotel to the best effect.
  • Develop and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Executing high level reporting and detailed business analysis regularly for owners and our Regional team.
  • Creating innovative solutions to adapt as required through this dynamic market.
  • Attending industry events for the purpose of networking, maintaining and continuing to build business relationships and gaining new sales leads.
  • Working with all departments to ensuring marketing is inspirational and timely to promote the Hotel to the best effect.
  • Develop and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
  • Be on top of industry best practices and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies

About you…

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous 3-4 years experience in similar role in a 200+ room Hotel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop the team.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the confidence to exercise good judgement and consideration of commercial implications.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to develop strategic, data-driven marketing plans
  • A willingness to be hands on within the operation and drive a culture of guest obsession and loyalty with the team.
  • The ability to create meaningful connections, creating a high level of trust with our clients, guests and colleagues.
  • A collaborative leader with a strategic and analytical focus
  • A demonstrated ability to meet targets and implement sales initiatives.
  • Previous experience with Opera Cloud, Delphi, Sales Force, Meeting Broker, Taguchi, Wordpress and Canva highly desirable.
  • Current First Aid and RSA certificates or the ability to obtain these.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and ACCOR is advantageous
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
