Edward Mann is recruiting for a Sales & Marketing manager on behalf of an exciting Australian Tech start up. The role is paying up to 150K base (220 ~ OTE potential) + super based on experience.

Based in Sydney and offering great hybrid working options!

It will be a challenging role that will give you full exposure & great autonomy in developing sales strategies that will supercharge the business’ growth over the coming years. You will drive our go-to-market execution and team performance. In this pivotal role, you'll own the tactical elements of our sales and marketing operations while working closely with our co-founder and leadership team on strategic initiatives.

About the Role

Your day-to-day will involve:

As an Sales & Marketing Manager you will be working alongside one of the businesses co-founders and existing sales team to spearhead business growth. By taking ownership of our go-to-market approach, you'll help expand our impact, enabling more clients to help the end customer.

You will focus on the following core responsibilities:

Manage and develop the sales and marketing team, conducting regular 1:1s, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Own pipeline management, sales forecasting, and reporting, informing decisions with data

Own CRM management and sales operations, maintaining clean data and efficient processes

Implement and refine sales training programs, including shadowing, roleplaying, and feedback sessions

Conduct regular deal reviews to enhance win rates and accelerate sales cycles

Coordinate go-to-market activities across new business sales, expansion, customer success, and marketing

Manage KPIs, dashboards, and reporting

Oversee hiring and onboarding for the sales and marketing team

Partner with co-founder on sales and marketing strategy, OKRs, and budgeting

Join and contribute to sales calls with prospects and customers when needed to support the team

Skills and Experience

2+ years of sales management experience with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams

3+ years prior experience in B2B sales, with the ability to coach and develop sales talent

Strong organisational and process-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail

Data-driven approach to management

Experience with sales methodologies like Sandler, MEDDICC, or similar

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with different teams

Adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment

Understanding of marketing strategies, channels, and metrics

Experience in EdTech or selling to schools would be advantageous but not essential

You will be a key member of the executive team, work directly with the founders and external stakeholders to position yourself as a key driver of Growth!
