Sol1 is an established IT services firm seeking another member for their dedicated support team. You will be responsible for the IT support for a wide variety of SME customers, and perform various duties. Primarily helpdesk troubleshooting and managing our ticketed support queue onsite at our Bella Vista office. Also required is new builds of Windows and Linux machines, roll-out of VoIP phones, and many other varied tasks. We are not a scripted helpdesk, so you are guaranteed to be doing something different every day.
We are looking a keen worker, eager to learn with a passion for IT, who is willing to work hard and get great results. Our helpdesk staff are expected to progress into helping our larger customers in automation, monitoring, development or engineering as part of their journey.
Skills required include:
Windows desktop support
Basic Networking knowledge
Customer service, great written and verbal communication skills
Skills we can teach you along the way:
Windows server support
Linux system administration
Advanced Networking; LAN, IP, Wifi, routing and firewalling
If you are interested in being part of a great team, are passionate about IT and keen to learn more we are keen to hear from you. We are able to offer on the job training in Linux and networking, however some previous experience is preferred.
Bonus points if you can show us your home-lab, especially if it runs Proxmox.
This role would suit someone who has had experience working in IT and is looking to expand their skill set. You will need the following at a minimum to be considered for this role:
* Australian Permanent resident or citizen
* NSW drivers license
* 2 years experience in professional IT support role
The job is based in Bella Vista NSW, with customers all around the Sydney Metro area and some interstate. When you apply please tell us about how you use computers or tech in your hobby. Extended support hours work is also an option for this role.
